The Rotating Lollipop is one of the products featured in the sensory toolbox and is used to assist the child with self-regulation through visual, tactile and auditory stimulation. It also aids with cognitive shifting of attention and assists with deep pressure through the hands.
The Rotating Lollipop requires a little bit of coordination to get it to spin which the child will learn through practice or demonstration. To start, the child should twist the metal pole either with their fingers or between their palms. They can control how fast it goes and how it moves, and this may differ depending on how energised or elevated they are. Often the child will slow the movements down as they calm down. Generally, children have a lot of fun watching and listening to the Rotating Lollipop as it spins. For demonstrations on how to spin this toy into different patterns, we recommend you watch tutorials on Youtube.
This toy comes in two parts – the base and the lollipop – but can be used with or without the base.
